The invisible enemy: the 1MB limit
This is the technical hurdle that causes more applications to fail than any other: the "compression funnel."
The platform requires that all your supporting documents be saved as PDF files, with a maximum size of 1 MB per document.

A complete financial file can run to dozens of pages. Compressing it to less than 1MB using free tools degrades the resolution to the point of illegibility. The consul cannot validate blurry information. Bank stamps disappear. And the system flags this as a substantive violation. An illegible file is equivalent to a nonexistent file.
The 2025 Reform is a game-changer
In the past, the consul would reserve judgment until the in-person interview. Today, the decision is based primarily on the digital application. The in-person interview is no longer the key factor; what matters is the quality of your online application.
If your application doesn't meet the technical requirements right from the start, it will be rejected before anyone even sees your name.

There is a distinction that very few people are aware of, and one that invalidates citations even after they have been confirmed:

NUT: For cases with prior authorization from the INM (family reunification or employment by a Mexican company).
Standard Visas: For tourism, business, or study without INM authorization.
